Tibetan Lhama Yoga
by Sunyata Saraswati
Wonderful ancient practices, illustrated step-by-step.
Tibetan Lhama Yoga developed out of the Indian Tantric system called Vishnu Yoga (Union with the Preserver), the healing aspect of Tantra. It is a special system to activate the power center in the human body, located in the Solar Plexus or Adhra Chakra. The system of techniques involves dynamic yoga postures, breathing exercises, meditations, visualizations and rituals. This yoga has been taught in India for over 5,000 years.
In the 4th century A.D., tantric Guru Padmasambhava Rimpoche took the science to Tibet and renamed it Tummo Fire (Yoga of the Inner Psychic Heat). Later, he transmitted the science to Tilopa. Several transmissions occurred as time passed.
Tibetan Lhama Yoga is a very vigorous, rigorous yoga. It produces Tummo Heat. The energy can be used for spiritual enlightenment.
This practice is for people in excellent physical shape. Cannot practice with heart conditions, high blood pressure, aneurisms, illness, weakness, breathing issues, organ issues, etc.
